Blackmore was for me the greatest guitarplayer ever walked on earth. He created more appeggio and classical solos then anyone... burn, highway star, gypsy's kiss, child in time, black mascarade, spotlight kid, dead or alive... riffs like smoke, black night, hard lovin man. He was the mozart of metal/ hard rock. Playing with feeling, space in the music... like ian anderson saying about him. Van halen... what can i say? An good cooö guitarplayer but his creation wasnt as good as the blackers, blackmore can take you on an journey for an hour and always change direction, speed, feel or hos moody image. His solos on dp mk2 live in Stockholm 1970 were an testament of his early day hardrock playing.... mandrake root, speed king. My meaning... hes the best of the best.

Eddie had a big Ego, and he took from a lot of people, which is how you learn. Eddie did not invent finger tapping though, and Randy Rhoads was a much better performer. I know people still worship eddie, Randy was a great performer, good dude too.

I'll take a Randy Rhoades solo over an Eddie solo any day of the week .Eddies solo don't move me the way Randy's do. Eddies solos shred but Randy makes the guitar sing. That's just me !

Another good man who had his heart ruined by a woman who wanted multiple men at the same time. There is reason why the best blues players can touch people's heart and it's because you have to have a broken heart to play the blues the right way and a lot of people have their heart broken or are sad in their lives.

Quite honestly, both are pretty good....Quite shocking, I never new that Plant ever played guitar at all until now....I wonder if he ever played rhythm or tade lead with Page on any of the Zeppelin albums.....It would be quite interesting to know...

Ritchie had a bad attitude, even toward the band members. Jimmy was much more sociable, there for "Led Zeppelin "stopped existing, following the tragic death of Bonzo.

That should be a liable, that the poster included a picture of schoolgirls....suggesting that that's what it was all about. Slander and shameful.

If you aren't old enough to have been around, its impossible to have a sense of how profoundly Eddie changed rock guitar when he burst onto the scene.

I am a huge fan of Ritchie Blackmore, especially with Rainbow and Blackmore's Night. I like Deep Purple, but am a huge fan of his other work. And I am also into the occult. It is a part of me to explore the other realms and go be beyond religious boundaries. I actually once had a pet ferret named after him, although I wrote it Ritchy. Still, It is one of my favorite boys names. By the way: occult means hidden, not evil. That last one is a choice we make. To me, there is no black or white magick, only intent.

Blackmoore is a better player, Page was a better songwriter, its pretty simple. If you listen to the guitar solo in the song no no no it will explain everything.

If you're a guitar player you will tell who has better techniques and who has better improvisation and who produces the best sounds from the guitar and the Marshall. Take you fool no one intro for example !

I find that claim very hard to support. YJM does not swing, and he’s not a blues based player. It would make about as much sense as DLR singing for Iron Maiden. Steve Vai was a breath of fresh air when he joined Alcatrazz and later DLR. Nobody who heard him thought of him as second fiddle to anyone. YJM was a MASSIVE game changer among guitarists, but he did not have the larger cultural impact Hendrix and EVH had outside guitar nerd circles.

Ok, yes, EVH had a huge influence on the genre. But to imply everyone was then "trying to be" him is clickbait garbage. In fact, in the first one, Angus seems to be making fun of EVH, actually.
